We are currently in the market for a heavy Equipment Field Service Technician. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, have a positive attitude, the ability to make fast concise decisions and be able to provide an excellent customer experience. This individual should be able to understand, support and help develop our company’s culture while working in the field. An individual who is professional, motivated, displays leadership skills, safe work practices and a self starter are key to success in this role. Experience and knowledge with construction and material handling is considered valuable.
Field Technician Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will be responsible for completing quality repairs and maintenance on a wide variety of equipment in a timely manner.
- Complete preventative maintenance services as set out by company provided checklists.
- Is able to identify possible failures that could lead to customers unscheduled downtime.
- Complete equipment diagnostics and communicate issues with clients and management.
- Willing to help apprentices learn new skills to improve their position within the company.
- Able to provide accurate estimates in scope and timelines of their assigned projects.

- Full time hours with possible overtime.
- Higher than industry average pay, commissions and bonuses.
Qualifications and skills:
- Great communication skills
- Positive attitude
- Journeyman HET or competent 3rd or 4th period apprentice
- Minimum 5-year field service experience preferred
- Possess a complete set of hand and air tools, specialty equipment will be supplied by the company
- Physically fit and able to meet the extreme demands of field service repairs
- Dealership experience and training is considered an asset
- Proficient with electrical, hydraulic equipment diagnostics
- Ability to read and apply electrical and hydraulic schematics to assist in diagnostics and repairs
- Maintain a professional, clean and organized work environment at all times
